What is SoL ?
Sol is a world wide network of companies, institutions, consultants and researchers having a shared interest for the improvement of organisations. For SoL members, the key improvement factor is the organisation’s capability for developing a collective learning dynamic which will favour its adaptation to an increasingly complex environment, in a world threatened by increasing financial, economic, social and ecological instability.
SoL was founded in 1997 by Peter Senge, author of “The Fifth Discipline”, based on his research at MIT, and by Arie de Geus, former executive at Shell and author of “The Living Company”.
Based in the United States, SoL is present in over 30 countries, including many European countries, China, india, Brazil, Australia. Among its US members : AT&T, Boeing, Ford, Harley-Davidson, Nissan, Sanofi, Unilever, The World Bank.
The results of the SoL community’s research work are published in the SoL Journal “Reflections”.

SoL France
SoL France, a non profit Association created in 1999, is the organizer of the May 11 event.
SoL France’s President is Jacques Chaize, CEO of Danfoss Socla. Its founding, partner and active members include : France Telecom, Solvay, Danfoss Socla, Unedic, SNCF, Bonduelle, Crédit Mutuel, Danone, Garf, Giat Industries, Institut Pasteur, l’Oréal, RATP.
SoL France regularly organizes seminars covering the fundamental principles of the learning organisation, as well as workshops on innovative practices. The themes that were recently dealt with at such workshops included : the art of listening in management, sustainable development, leadership in the 21st century.
SoL France publishes the “Cahiers” which have included contributions from such key figures as Edgar Morin, Muhammad Yunus, Karl-Henrick Robèrt, Michel Serres...
